This is pretty ridiculous. CJ is very faith based. If I was him I'd thank God after every future question they asked him and leave it at that.

What is pretty ridiculous? That nbc for their Twitter account posted a shortened version of their full interview you can find on NBC Sports official YouTube page that has the entire interview uncut?

That's ridiculous to you? Seems normal to me?

You obviously are a tad emotionally invested in this. I think that barring him saying something inappropriate he should be allowed to say what he always says.

It is ridiculous to me, yes.

He did say what he said but it was edited by the media because that’s what the media does breh
That’s why people trust Joe Rogan and he gets bigger ratings than CNN or MSNBC

To me it's just absurd that anyone would edit out what is obviously a big part of his life. He's a great young man. He's went through a lot and he should be able to say whatever helped get him here.

It's why I pay little attention to the media.

I’m woke. I’d rather not hear athletes and entertainers go on about their religion. Any religion. I don’t think God cares who wins a game or who performs the best. I’m not really in favor of people editing his comments either. He said it, some will like him for it and some won’t.

In interviews like this I just want to hear his thoughts on the game and not praising of Gods. Thats just me. It’s not that big of a deal though. Whatever.

I know the D&D is full of Jeremy Lin fans but this dude was about 1 trillion times better as a player and a person

Why does it matter honestly? You obviously have the ability to turn the TV off. They're free to do whatever they choose as long as it's not harmful or offensive. God obviously doesn't care who wins a football game but it's a core of his beliefs and what helped him get here. All that matters is it's important to him.

End of the day it shouldn't have been an issue. He gave his interview and there was no need to edit it. Plain and simple

I've heard him say these kinds of things many times. He can be as religious as he wants. As long as he's not trying to proselytize to me or anyone else who doesn't want it, I couldn't give a s*** what he wants to praise. He's a good qb, possibly a great qb, and giving the Texans a much needed boost in legitimacy. it's really not that difficult for someone of, at minimum, average intelligence to be able to separate religion/politics from sports and understand that these are people who have beliefs and opinions...and aren't bothered if they express them. Seems only the extremely stupid are offended that the interview clip was cut short in one place but is fully available by the outlet that recorded it in easily accessible areas.

"Extremely stupid "? Glad you need to go the extreme there. I'm guessing you aren't the beacon of intelligence when you have difficulty dealing with an opinion on a Rockets message board.
