    Oh I'm not worried about whether or not he'll get a raise. If he plays like this all season they're going to throw the max at him when it comes time to extend.

    FWIW, their record has been better without Ja than with him the last couple of years. Something else is the problem in Memphis.

    Their problem is they lost the best backup pg in the NBA and an all NBA defender on top of losing Ja and they replaced all 3 with a pg who can't shoot.

    It makes no sense to overanalyze without fully knowing if it is Taylor Jenkins, or Steven Adams not being there, Ja not being there.

    I posted about this months ago when everyone was complaining about us getting DB, but Ja and other players had missed a bunch of time and the constant player there was Brooks. They had important players miss chunks of time.

    Despite who was missing or left the team, or what Brooks stats were…. when DB was on the floor they won more often than not.
