Bullshit. America has had a school shooting problem at a steady rate for over 100 years. It's increased pretty steadily throughout that time, probably as the population grows. Conversely, when other countries like the UK and Australia had big shooting incidents in the 90's, they clamped down hard with gun control. To put this into context: Number of school shootings in the uk 1940-1996 = 1, and that one school shooting caused insane gun control. The UK has all the same video games, all the same pop culture and everything else as the US, the only difference is gun control. When you've had more school shootings in a calendar year than the entire rest of the developed world has had in a hundred years, you might have a problem. It's all about the salary cap. They are over the cap ~$9.7m. Cutting him, that salary becomes dead money with no way to replace the player (or salary) with a similar one. Why that's critical is because you have Green & Sengun coming up for extensions which will put them further over and Jabari & Tari aren't far behind. Basically, it's letting Trevor Ariza go sign with the Wizards while you replace him with James Ennis on a vet. minimum. You saved a few bucks and got a whole lot worse .... Just forget KPJ exists, he's dead to us - the only thing that matters is the value of the contract.
