    i just dont see why we'd waste a roster spot when we are obviously a team in transition...

    I love Boban and am onboard with this. However I cannot help but wonder why he’s not just hired as an assistant/player development guy. He doesn’t actually play. I just have to think there has to be projects out there who would be better served being the 15th man.

    We have a project as a starting C and a project as a backup C.
    Both guys have very interesting skillsets.
    What we don't need is another project - some veteran locker room leadership is a good thing, and Boban does that as well as anyone.

    It is a culture move.

    But I see what you are saying - why not have him as a coach? He'd still be in the locker room....
    This may just be for training camp?

    If it is a vet signing to actually play minutes I would rather sign Taj Gibson or someone like that who can actually give you 5 to 10 minutes.

    Don’t get me wrong though… i actually think Boban can play and should. However the coaches for whatever reason just don’t see him as valuable on the court. So I just don’t get it but maybe there’s a reason I’m not seeing.
