If he was willing to eat more of JV salary we wouldn't have had to given up on both but our owner is too damn cheap. How are you cheap after you just won a ring blows my mind.

Didn't we have about 20-25 mil after all the signings this past off-season? What ever happened to that? People were saying it would be utilized at the trade deadline to bringing in some much needed pieces. I can keep hearing Crane isn't cheap but where's the proof of that?

 

Who knows. His personal business is booming with all the money being spent on green energy under the administration. Crane is making a killing right now but he's just cheap.

Dusty threw Diaz and France under the bus in post game interviews

France was probably tipping his fastball. He should blame the pitching coaches and himself.

 

It's been frustrating but they are still less than 2 games from the division lead.
The talent is still there to make a strong push.

Not in this case. Steve Cohen gave zero ****s about spending the money. Mets wouldn't have done the deal for lesser prospects with the Astros picking up most if not all of JV's salary in return. They wanted to buy prospects for the deal.
