Tim MacMahon: Mavs C Richaun Holmes waived his $1.8 million trade kicker, sources told ESPN. That allowed the Mavs to beef up the offer sheet to Matisse Thybulle, but Portland opted to match.

Does this mean that the Mavericks talked Holmes into essentially flushing nearly $2m down the toilet?

 

He really is completely delusional about what it means to actually compete or work hard.

Among adult American men, 1 in about 128,000 are taller than 6'10. In total, there's about 1000, and of those, many of them have too many health problems to play sports at all. I mean, talk about being born on third base, lmao. His birth was about as lucky as a normal person hitting black in roulette 26 times in a row.

Let's see how hard he works and how competitive he is in a field where he has more than 500 or so competitors. Maybe he'll finally learn mental toughness and get the offer he (wrongly) thinks he deserves. Maybe he'll take pride in playing defense for once.
