    How could you want him back? Your going to make a postseason in the 6 team format. Why would you want JV and his 6 plus postseason era throwing for you….. it’s a mental issue.

    love the posters like @zeeshan2 and @YOLO coming in acting like people here underestimated the phillies. everyone knew the phillies were hot (so were the astros before this game winning 8 straight...) and astros fans already had ptsd over playing another nl east team in the WS. get out of here with that

    anyway, astros just gotta take one in philly now, but first win tmw. nut up!

    I know what he trying to do. It was stupid. He is supposed to be a veteran and play situational and take the walk.

    The way Mancini is playing, and after that. Hensley has to be choice at DH now.

    Don't drell on this game because tomorrow will be tough. Valdez needs to match Wheeler. Don't want to say must win but kind of feels like it.

    The only upside is the Phillies really had to burn through their bullpen tonight. If the Astros can get to Wheeler tomorrow and Valdez doesn't pull a Verlander, they can tie this up. Then they're favored(at least pitching wise) in Games 3 and 4.

    But this one is on Verlander and to a lesser extent Dusty. I know it was only the 3rd inning, but a 5-0 lead shouldn't be pissed away like that at home.

    Baseball is freakin’ ridiculous. There is no universe in which the Nationals, Braves, or Phillies are better than this Astros franchise, yet if you get hot at the right time, you can win a championship then never be heard of again
