Since Peña is batting 2nd today the Astros have about an 87% chance for a win. 40-6 now with Peña batting 2nd.

 

I do think any question about Gurriel starting at 1B if he is on the roster in the playoffs has been answered.

On another topic - not looking forward to playing winner of Blue Jays - Mariners series. That will be a hard fought series with the winner riding a ton of momentum into the ALDS. I’m worried about a trap game in MM where our offense just falls flat and our pitching isn’t at its peak due to a week off

The other day Dusty said that Yordan will be playing LF quite a bit in the playoffs unless the ankle ( or some other body part) hinders the plan.

That tells me they expect to start Yuli at 1B and DH Mancini those games.

 

With one exception, I do too.

Since the WC teams will probably use better pitchers in the WC series, the match-ups should be in our favor.

 

When I see Yuli, I can't help hoping he pulls a Damned Yankee special and performs in the playoffs if he's going to be here anyway. I'm rooting for him, even if I don't understand why he's playing.
