Anybody else smelling a weird smell outside is it the sudden drop in temperature overnight doing something to the plants and trees or something? A big wild fire? I smell a deep bitter earthy smell out here in Magnolia, all day all across the city into cypress area too

There is a fairly strong signal in the models for an even deeper burst of colder air toward the middle or latter half of next week. This could push overnight temperatures below freezing—perhaps even into the 20s—by around December 22 or so. This really is at the edge of our reliable forecasting capability, so it remains speculative. Buy my sense is that the days leading up to Christmas are going to be quite cold, and possibly the holiday itself. How cold? I’d love to be able to tell you that, but I can’t. However, I do think we’re looking at lows probably between 25 and 40 degrees, so you can expect Jack Frost to be nipping at your nose.
****ing hell. I’m selling one of my rentals on 12/28. It will suck if the pipes freeze and burst before I close.
When is this? It's not supposed to hit that until overnight next Thursday/Friday, which will be windy as **** and then in the teens that night.
Yeah, next Thursday'ish. Right now they're saying it'll get below freezing Thursday around 6am and then drop the rest of the day until it hit the teens around 7pm, then it goes down to around 13 degrees Friday morning. We don't get above 25 or 26 degrees all Friday and we don't see above-freezing until Saturday afternoon when it maxes out around 35. Or so they're saying now. I hope those temps are a little higher. I'm hoping there's no calamity around here like pipes bursting or outages because of this. Since the freezing temps aren't statewide, hopefully nothing bad across the state, either.
