GME STILL acts wild, basically its own VIX of sorts, I wonder how long that stock will take to go back to "normal".

After losing hundreds of thousands of dollars of my 401(k) this year, I decided instead to earn .0031 percent in a MMA. I’m all in! I feel like I’m winning now

    You're my favorite poster! :D

    1973: -14.66%
    1974: -26.47%
    2000: -9.10%
    2001 : -11.89%
    2002 : - 22.10%
    2008 : -37.00%

I'm in way more cash than I want to be, but whatever. I sold a ton of my stocks throughout the year - even stuff I'd held onto for around a decade. Most of the year was great for energy stocks, so I dumped money into those and agriculture, but got stopped out and jumped back in later. I'm still buying the S&P, though. I'm not ready to jump into too many more individual stocks yet - just holding onto what I have and maybe DCA down in the next few weeks.

I thought about getting a job just to do this. LOL. You're doing it right, though.

I just read about these I Bonds, looks like the rate is currently 9.6%.

Seems like a crazy good deal.

Yeah, we’ve been talking about those in here since they were “only” around 7% last year. The only problem is you’re limited in how much you can buy, but it’s better than nothing.

Depends on how much you want to dump into a CD or savings account. But in any case, dumping whatever you can up to $10k into the i-bond first and whatever you have left into a CD or savings account @ 2-3.5% makes sense. Or just blow it all in Vegas/stock market. :D

The Fed has decided I don’t deserve money. From inflation to rising rates to a mean bear market my money and investments are not safe anywhere.

You're still betting on the Metaverse strategy working and/or TikTok getting banned. I think TikTok will probably be forced into a sale to a US company but I doubt its going anywhere. And I'm not sold on the VR investment at all.
