I didn't see anybody mention the Artic Air Pure Chill (as seen on TV infomercial). As Seen On Tv Arctic Air Pure Chill : Target Oh...you don't want a $50 job but how about $39.99?
I thought those small swamp coolers were good for tiny spaces and in low-humidity environments, but not much else. One of my co-workers used to have one in his cube, which I could understand because he was practically sitting right up against its cooling effects, but do small ones like that really do much in a bedroom/house? Hell, just build a bigger one yourself with an ice chest and a fan. I thought about making one for giggles.
