    Need to package those 2 picks and move up into lottery, no minutes for 2 lower picks on this team.

    Already too few minutes for the young players we already have.

    You rarely see lower 1st round picks contributing immediately, why would the Rockets be any different? These guys have talent, but need some adjustment and a couple of months of practice time with the team + minutes in the G League. That's how it worked with Christopher, who only started coming off the bench regularly in December, and it's a good approach.

    It may be a pipe dream, but how about Banchero #3, Eason #17 and Chandler #26. Waive Wall, Burke, Brown, Chriss.

    15-man roster:
    Sengun/Garuba/Boban
    Banchero/Tate/Nwaba
    Gordon/KMJ/Eason
    Green/Christopher/Mathews
    KPJ/Nix/Chandler

    Ten man rotation. Boban, Nwaba and Mathews serve as cheerleaders that get irregular playing time and step up if size, toughness or shooting are needed for a particular matchup. Chandler and Eason get reps in the G-League. At mid-season, review if Nix is still crap and if Gordon can be traded, to maybe move up Chandler and Eason in the rotation.

    IMO, a roster like this would give a nice trade-off between developmental minutes for young players vs valuable contributions by veterans, while still retaining full flexibility for next off-season.
