    Bunting with 2 outs and Maldonado not the fastest of runners. Was the 3b playing deep? Was the plan to bunt it softly?? Unfortunately he hit it hard.

    I'd say the odds of him getting the runner in with a 2 out bunt is much higher than him taking swings. I'm not sure how a .130 batter can be in a slump but he's in one at 0-16.
