    As a side note but 10 years ago I went to the Tiger Park in Harbin, PRC. I was part of a delegation for the city of Minneapolis so we got VIP access including getting up close to tiger cubs.

    The main thing that struck me about the tigers there were that they were so well fed that they acted much more like my house cat than a fearsome jungle predator. Most of the time they were sleeping out in the sun, scratching trees and several had visible guts hanging down.
