When I think of "sport" I think of athletes and physical exertion and athletic ability which "esporte" is obviuobvi not.
It is more Game than Sports. It's more Competitive Gaming than Physical Sports but I dun mind ESports, the name. There is some strategy, coordination and team play in there.
Idk I can’t take CS Go seriously. I’m honestly surprised people are still into that game. It’s such a cheese fest. I can agree with league though
A sport implies physical exertion. Therefore it isn't a sport if your heart rate during the "sport" is below 100 bpm. So ya, I agree at that point, it's a competition. A competition doesn't have to be a sport.
Eh. Obviously dictionary definitions are fluid and often arbitrary but most definitions do include "physical exertion". If it's a standstill shooting competition, it's just a competition in my view. Though a stress shoot competition would be a sport I guess. Though I don't know those exist. Seems like it would make a good sport. We did it a lot during our training. It's basically running around in a very big open range with all your gear and full ammo cans in hand as weights from station to station and taking down targets at each location and then running with all that gear to the next location. How well you do is based on a combination of how fast you run the course and how accurate you are.
