    The Rockets essentially traded their 2020 first and Capela for Wood, the Blazers’ lottery-protected 2021 first, and a heavily-protected future first from the Pistons..

    definitely makes a tank job a lot easier to accomplish if Wood is your best player.

    Wood is way better than Capela, especially offensively...Capela got a +20 boost playing next to Harden

    Harden with a big that can run the floor, catch lobs, and hit threes? My god

    ‘I think a Wood/Simmons/thybulle core would fight for a 6 seed. I think we’ll have a Russ/Harden/Wood core and fight for the first seed.

    Whats wrong with rebuilding with a young center with upside on a friendly contract?

    I get that his game is perfect with Harden and Russ but he's a great signing with or without Harden.

    Because him being an all star by himself isnt very likely. Or at the very least not something you could really build around towards a championship. I would rather just get more picks from the lottery and build up with a young core.

    I'd have to look at the overall exchange to judge it from that perspective. It's too late for my brain to recall everything from the last few days.

    But I will say that I think he helps us whether we are contending or not. He's good, young, and on a moveable deal. That doesn't change if we start to tank.
