    Why aren't check swings reviewable? Literally just gave them 4 runs because of a **** call by the 3rd base umpire.

    Let's qualify that. A a starter. I think he can be a valuable commodity from the pen but more of a matchup guy. Never saw him as a starter.

    he is who he is. 4th-5th starter who sometimes finds the strike zone. MLB is loaded with guys that have stuff but can’t locate.

    he’s 27 this year, it’s not like he is all of a sudden gonna find the strike zone and be consistent.

    Valdez. James is not ready partially due to lack of spring training.

    Under no circumstances other than being behind or ahead by 7-8 runs should a guy who's had 6 walks, even if one was ump aided, in less than 3 innings be left in by the manager.

    We can't talk about speeding up the game and then say we want the check swing reviewable. I'm in the camp of review but I aslo don't want 4 hour games. Maybe you're ok with it but I'm not. Yea it was a strike but JJ has sucked today. One check swing didnt do him in.

    No disagreement here. We've seen him be good out of the pen though. I just don't like him as a starter regardless of control. Even Mitch Williams had a place in the league
