Worked out perfectly for them. Seems that anytime you can take 60 seconds off the clock in that situation you take it.
If you enjoy ESPN (or any sports show/radio for that matter), sorry. Next 8 months will be Patriots sob stories. "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is Brady coming back?" "Will Brady retire?" "Tom Brady's next team?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?" "Is this the end?"
Yeah, except when you are down. I just think it could have easily blown up in his face if the Pats score any points because then the situation is flipped and you now wished you had that minute back. I get the Titans gameplan is to get any kind of lead and sit on it though. I just think it makes a lot more sense if you're up 7 instead of up one.
I think Brady should call it a career, but no way he is ending it on a pick 6. Whether in New England or somewhere else, he is coming back.
It's weird in that 5 minutes is still plenty of time for NE. It obviously worked out in the end since NE got stopped on their drive, but in theory it allows NE to slow play a final drive and kick a FG without enough time for you to score again. It does make a lot more sense with a 7 or more point lead where you don't necessarily need to score again in regulation - or even a 4 pt lead where NE can't really just focus on running clock on their own dive. In this case, it could have backfired if NE scored.
I just wouldn't call it dumb. It was a calculated risk that worked out well. They were at the perfect field position to take 2 or 3 penalties and the right amount of time left. They had all their timeouts left in case the Patriots were to do something.
Saints fans gonna always feel like they get the short end of the stick from the refs Wonder who hates refs more or feel like the refs conspire against them: Rockets fans or Saints fans
They can't do that anymore? How would the complaining fans like him to try and tackle the guy then? Clutch as f*%k field goal to send this to OT. Embarrassing for the Saints that it's this close.
I think that was OPI personally, the separation from the push is what made that such an easy catch. For them to not even look at it is...puzzling.
