Trap game if we still think Suns suck (they don't anymore). Also, I fully expect Suns to come out strong this game because of the ass-whoppin we constantly give them over the years (including that 90 at the half).
I would as long as he keeps this up... But it's tough too because you don't want to hurt House's confidence in any way...but at the same time it's not like House is 22, they are both 26. Who knows, maybe this could finally be McLemore's breakout season... It's a tough decision either way, personally, I'm starting McLemore until he gets cold.
Here's a forlorn hope. I think MDA should experiment with Westbrook not taking any shots that aren't within about 8 feet of the basket, unless the shot clock is about to expire. Have him score on drives and free throws. Concentrate on setting picks, and on passing, either to open shooters or to someone who can then get the ball to an open shooter. Meanwhile, practice the **** out of hitting floaters and 3's. Expend his excess energy playing defense. With his athleticism, Russ should be a decent to good defender. The missed jumpers are just killing us. Of course, the experiment would require Russ executing it. Good luck, Mike.
If Hartenstein is allowed to play meaningful minutes the Rockets will continue to be undefeated when Hartenstein plays meaningful minutes. Conversely, If Westbrook does not play meaningful minutes the Rockets will continue to be undefeated when Westbrook does not play meaningful minutes.
My predictions: 1) Suns continue the theme of the half court double teams. 2) Russ keeps bricking, CF b****es, Russ make a few brilliant plays. 3)Harden takes about 15-16 shots 4) Role players brick open shots 5) MDA irritates us all with his rotations/lack of time outs 6) Good guys squeak out a close one.
It has nothing to do with what MDA or Harden or Morey or anybody wants. Westbrook will do what he wants to do because that’s who he is. He is not a smart player. He’ll continue to chuck and hurt the team.
