Watt is not restructuring his contract, he is either going to stay in Houston under his current deal or become a FA.
How many weeks is it to that Divisional Round game with either the Pats or Ravens? There might be enough time... Not like they NEED him until then. I guess it'd be nice to have him earlier, but I can easily see the Texans running the table the rest of the season. They should at least be favored for all of them. Besides tonight's game, of course. Who knows? They could win this one too. Great news about JJ. Glad he didn't choose to retire.
Take it with a grain of salt and some taquis, I recall Mario Williams saying he could have been back for the playoffs that year in 2011
Dude is 30 who tore a pec. It wasn't an achilles injury, an ACL, a reaggravation of his back injury, etc. Don't really get why people thought he might choose retirement. Watt is still one of the best defensive players in the game.
Calvin Johnson, Barry Sanders and Patrick Willis all retired at 30. You can’t really blame people if they say it. JJ has had season ending injuries 3 of the past 4 years?
