Good God he was awful. I guess I didn’t really realize how bad of a shooter Westbrook actually is. He needs to stop taking 3’s and play to his strengths instead of trying to become something that he’s not. His play cost them the game last night. I think he will eventually figure out his role on this team, but at the moment they clearly don’t have a good plan for him.
in our huge loss at OKC end of last season, he was making those clutch 3's to F our season. now he's not even close. maybe those dislocated fingers bothering him, maybe it's the rockets curse we can simply never have good shooters
He had time to attack the rim and make something happen on his last shot. You can see it clearly that if he would have drove to the middle he would have had a good look around the rim, a Capela lob, or a Tucker corner 3, but as usual he chose to take a jumper. I really don't mind the wide open 3's near the end of the shot clock, he has to take those. Otherwise he should never f**king take a jumper. Not only does he take a lot of jumpers, he takes a lot of long 2's, which are the worst shot in basketball. He is just a stubborn idiot. I had a little hope after the first few games when he seemed to be adapting to the extremely simple concept of no long 2's, while still showing all his strengths, but he's right back to his same stupid s**t. For the 3rd game in a row, he took more shots than Harden. I'm already sick of it. What's left of Harden's prime is tied to this boneheaded anchor now, with no flexibility at all.
Westbrook must understand that when his game focuses on attacking the basket, assisting and defending, he is a top three guard. When his game is focused on shooting ... he doesn't even have a level to play in this league. If Westbrook understands, our team has a chance to compete, otherwise we are sentenced.
Just a disaster of a trade. If you can’t see how exposed Westbrook will be in the playoffs (yet again), I can’t help ya.
Brick expense 3 first round picks 2 first swaps Lou Williams Harrell Beverley high cost low production.
—Rockets’ NET rating with Westbrook on court: +1.9 per 100 possessions —Rockets’ NET rating with Westbrook off court: +11.2 per 100 possessions —Rockets’ NET rating with Westbrook on court and Harden off: -17.4 per 100 possessions WOW
He’s murdering us. And the sad thing is somehow he has managed to actually use his triple double magic spell again to trick some people into thinking he’s not the problem.
I appreciate us going at the Warriors, Chris Paul was absolutely worth it, look at the season we had. 65 win season and taking the GOAT team to 7 it was worth it. You take that risk every time. Don’t bring it up every time if you don’t want the same responses.
That gold Brick costs 400 million dollars to Tilman, that is called at all cost. 2024 First + 2026 First = 100 million 2015 swap = 30 million 2021 swap = 0 million 2018 first = 10 million Bev + harrel + Lou = 90 million Brick itself =170 million
Plenty of people on this board did. This system. Playing with harden blah blah all of that is irrelevant if you can’t shoot to begin with
He seems to be overthinking things and not comfortable in his role yet. Some of those layups he blew, oh man just go up and take the rim off, he's looking around at Lou Williams as if he's gonna do anything. That one stretch at the end of the 3rd/early 4th where he had a few short 10 footers in a row to keep the scoreboard moving was great, I'm fine with him taking those. But he is so hesitant on most of his 3s it just never seems like it's gonna go in.
