I basically never yell or rant on the radio because it’s just sports but the revelation Ryan Pace didn’t even have an extended meeting with Deshaun Watson is totally unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/kXBF8xjIWT — Danny Parkins (@DannyParkins) November 13, 2019 Y’all remember when this fool said Deshaun Watson was a 2nd round QB & that Mitch Trubisky & Deshone Kizer we’re more NFL ready. pic.twitter.com/swAgCEvcsK — WatsonMVP sZn (6-3) (@Ayoo_Noah) November 14, 2019
This may be a little bit of an unpopular opinion, but my feelings are that Watson cutting down on INTs so far in the NFL is a lot more about luck than developement. I feel that there is at least once, if not twice, a game where he throws a pass that should have been picked off, but is somehow dropped. Maybe that happens with most of QBs too and I'm not being fair. But I scratch my head most Sundays with how Deshaun doesn't have more picks than he ends up with.
Kind of felt the same way but yes it actually does happen to every qb. Mahomes/Rodgers/Wilson throw the least amount of interceptions. I counted ATLEAST three times in the Titans game where Titans defenders dropped passes right in their hands. For Wilson/Rodgers I counted two for each in their last games. So it happens to every qb. Some are luckier than others. It’s just about not giving them many opportunities.
Let's see , what did we give up.for Watson. Could we have saved all those picks an just draftd Lamar jackson?
Stupid hypothetical situation. Ravens literally built their team around lamar jackson. What does this really mean? They have a competent front line office that was able to draft, sign and create a team that will best optimize his strengths. They also have a competent hc who is able to create a game plan that helps his qb. Sure u would save all those draft picks by avoiding Watson, someone u don't like. But do u trust our franchise enough to build around lamar? Can BoB create an offense that centers around lamar, If he can't even build around Watson, a player who can compensate for a lot of weakness. Hence stupid hypothetical situation that won't make us any better since this franchise just sucks at building a team.
Well everyone was happy getting tunsil and paying to get rid of Clowney. There is even a thread saying Bob knows what he is doing. So you are saying everything Bob does has been crap?
Well the person u are referring to that create those sht threads is scarface, a bonafide BoB defender who believes that our coach is competent enough to do what u are suggesting. Avoid Watson, save picks and draft Jackson. Then proceed to rebuild and create an offense that will best showcase his strengths and abilities. I don't think it is possible to do what u are suggesting. I am saying mostly everything BoB is doing has been kinda meh or crap, hence why I honestly want us to fire this mediocre coach already. It's been what 6 years? we are still rebuilding an oline, our franchise qb is a punching bag, and our secondary is pretty bad. I do agree with the Tunsil trade, but if we had a competent GM and HC, that probably wouldn't have needed to happen in the first place. Overall, sure we could have grab jackson, but our franchise would have never been competent enough to build around the man, hence he would look like hot garbage.
I hate to tell you, but the Ravens team was NOT built around Jackson...until this year's draft and offseason. Flacco was the QB in 2018 when Jackson was draft to be an eventual replacement. Most of the Ravens team was already in place. Sure, they did the 2019 draft around Jackson. Don't like they have been drafting for 4 or 5 years to build around him. Hyperbole........much?
Lamar Jackson would look terrible under stupid BoB. He would #1 never draft him. #2 even if he did, he would force him into trying to play like Tom Brady, which is not his skillset.
