You guys are in two different worlds. You are in a world where fact, nuance and perspective real things. @Senator is not. We've seen his posting history. I get it and I'm probably guilty of it more often myself than most posters who are more reasonable. You think by trying to put things in as rudimentary fact-based way as possible it will make a difference or at least get them to offer up some kind insight to their own thinking so you can see from where the disconnect is coming.
Why alt-right trolls shouted down Donald Trump Jr. https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/po...jr-conservative-tpusa-yaf-racism-antisemitism
No, we must look at everything, especially in the under age 55 age bracket where voters are easier to influence and swing. That would be not your demographic. Citing your age as a reference to being out of touch is not an attack, it is simply stating the facts that you took offense to. This indicates to me you are a heavily left leaning liberal. FOX news has slightly more viewership than CNN in the 18-54 age bracket, where it really takes off is in the older bracket (your age range). And hence your biased opinion -- https://www.statista.com/statistics/373814/cable-news-network-viewership-usa/ Online media is heavily left leaning... it's not debatable. Overall, it's a silly thing to debate, considering all I want is news to go away from reality television that allows polarizing viewpoints and crazies on both ends of the spectrum to thrive. This is why things don't get done .. it turns into trash feeding trash instead of elevating the lives of citizens.
You try to use vocabulary and verbosity to cover up the fact that you don't get things. It really is that simple. Another wasted college education.
What? You don't think @B-Bob is under 55? I'm pretty sure, he is based on his previous posts. I will let him speak for himself, but I don't think you've been really reading his posts, including the one to which you responded.
I'm going to say that you aren't in a position to determine whether my college education was a waste or not. It is silly for someone who reads posts on a basketball website to think they can put a value or lack of value on a person's education who is actually living with that education whether or not it was a waste. If you believe, that reading posts on the internet allows you to determine the value of one's education, then you might want to re-examine.
The majority of black people... did not listen to Obama. And when they did, he merely parroted what other white President's of the past have said. While he was a nice, articulate guy, he refused to say and do things that bolder personalities like Dr. Ben Carson publicized (Aside from rejecting climate change and evolution). Hence, the lack of popularity for Ben Carson and Obama winning as the nice guy. Economic measures like Glass Steagall are what help the have nots when wall street goes crazy with money they do not have, more than ha ha, my wife Michelle invited Beyonce to the white house. Emphasizing shutting down the incentives for illegals to keep coming into the US and stronger measures to secure borders.. Carson was very clear about that. Unfortunately, this lax attitude meant racial tensions were at their highest at the end of the Obama tenure, entitlement prevalent, crime up, and a complete wildcard like Trump took advantage of that. Marginalized communities have to look past Republican = bad, democrat = good and work with the smartest people available. I am all for taxing the wealthy, better healthcare and food access for poor Americans, but I cannot reasonably go along with open borders, unlimited medicare for all, and the extremes democrat candidates take things to in order to get these votes. That alienates a large group of people who are forced to vote for short term economics in Trump .
He is trolling. That’s what he does. He comes in a thread, blames black people and provides some odd blueprint to “help” poor people.
Do not be intimidated by anyone with an opinion outside your narrative. When you brush off anything you don't want to hear as trolling, well, you get President's like Trump because you asked for it as a smug liberal. Address the issues head on. Poor people climb out by opening their eyes and thinking for themselves , not charades and dreams.
So a bit off topic but related to recent heckling at conservative events... specifically Turning Point USA events which I don't endorse at all. Now, I have noticed that alt right is used to basically brand someone deplorable when they don't fall in line with mainstream center right conservatives. But I've noticed many falsely use this label and disagree when asked what it means. That aside... I feel like this black mark, the alt right label the Dems championed to silence opponents in 2016, actually moderated the Republican Party to an extent while making those on the fringe right more upset and this is why we are seeing Don Jr and other conservatives get heckled at events. They are being ignored, or at least feel this way. Largely questions loom over immigration and Israel, and many who may be alt right, or some simply labeled that way, are fighting within the party this way. Noticing this raised a question... is this important labeling and banishing of right wing ideas from the conversation actually helping the Republicans and hurting the Dems? I would say in part it is. You also have the added effect of the Dems who don't demonize their extremist fringe members nearly enough. I typed in alt-left to see if their was an equivalent but alt-right shows up. The next best thing I could think of was communist and socialist, but instead of being dirty words, the left is openly catering to these far left voting blocks. This IMO is a mistake and is the reason Trump will win and in the future other moderate Republicans. Your Crenshaw types, etc. Even Kanye if he runs and puts up a moderate conservative platform. While yes you all largely will disagree perhaps, I feel that going by modern standards, the Republicans have self-moderated while the Democrats are instead trying to constantly out-left each other. Perhaps this will change for the Republicans, but for now it seems this embracing of the far left is killing Democratic chances. Essentially, the Republicans are largely rejecting far right fringe views, so far as to ignore them at events and screen them out of QA sessions. The left instead embraces the chaotic far left and caters to them. Words to demonize the far right are often used by both left and right, but the Dems largely don't engage in this sort of labeling to silence their extreme members. The American public sees this and panics, and ultimately votes for the most moderate side.
Yes, this is ridiculous, and @Senator has really shown a lot about himself. I am under 55 by a good margin, FWIW. If anyone thinks this is my picture, I just... well, we will always have the lulz. Not that it should matter, right? More divisive rhetoric from the most divisive of our national tribes. No surprise.
Yeah, I forgot for a while, but he's back on the ignore list. He's not "intimidating" anyone. He's just roving around tossing insults garnished with fake calm rhetoric. This poster is old (false) and that one is uneducated (false). Oh, okay. Hope honeybear-lite enjoys some part of life the way humans were meant to, b/c that ain't it.
