That’s a weak call, yeah he very mildly flailed his arm, but Crowder deserves an Oscar for that performance after Harden grazed him (unless he has an anaconda in his shorts, no way JH hit the baby maker - looked more like a upper thigh shot to me and a mild one at that). That had to be a “make up call” for tossing Crowder.

Rockets played with a lot more energy defensively tonight and especially in the second half. This was a nice win.

First half and second half were two different games for Harden. He constantly lost his man and didn’t box out in the first half. He was still guilty of it in the 2nd half but his energy was much much better.

I wish MDA could bring himself to play Thabo and Chandler for 10 minutes a game. They played together a little bit tonight and looked like they had good synergy.

I would feel a lot better about the small ball line up at the end of the game if they could get Tuckers minutes down to around 30 per game.

It's not like Westbrook's defense is horrific esp based on advance metrics this season so far. The pace definitely kills us defensively, should we just slow it down and make WB a CP3 2.0.

Kept the fastest team in the league in check. Meaning much better transition defense tonight

The team is adjusting to Westbrook and also adjusting to a new defensive coach and a new defensive system.. while also trying to run more.

It isn’t a shock that when the Rockets could go back to what has been successful in the past, they played better.

Westbrook will need to be acclimated into the Rockets but with his strengths and weaknesses and style of play, the Rockets need to add the pieces that fit well.

Westbrook and Harden have the potential to be exceptional with patience and roster changes.

Happy for the win, but Tucker, my goodness, that situation needs to be dealt with. He’s been pretty worthless the last two games.

A Jae Crowder would go a long way, definitely need another long 3 & D player. I like what I see from Mclemore, House so far

Agreed. The first half still left something to be desired (another game allowing 60 points at halftime), but the Rockets really turned it on for the entire second half. They only allowed 40 points total in the last two quarters.

It was the badly missed FT that did it. Once he hit rock bottom, he just said, "F#@k it, I'm gonna stop trying so hard and just have some fun."

A win is a win, even if its a scrub team. Very encouraging signs from EG and Harden seems they have broken from their slump.

I think the small ball lineup is trash, Dumbtoni is overplaying Tucker with this midget ball nonsense. Tucker is a warrior but he isnt a spring chicken, he is getting run into the ground getting asked to defend opponent Cs with this midget ball idea.

It's depressing the Rox are already small with Clemons and Maclemore being part of the rotation and EG playing SF but Dumbtoni compounds to the height problem using Tucker at center when we got Capela and Chandler, two functioning bigs on the roster. This has got to stop.

I used to think Harden was a pretty dramatic flopper, but Crowder takes the trophy.
He flopped a couple of other times in the game and was able to draw some whistles with his acting skills.
Seems awfully delicate for also pretending to be a 'tough guy'

Russ' strength is the uptempo game.
Grabbing rebounds and going coast 2 coast. Pushing the pace and going to the rim.
He's not nearly the halfcourt wiz that CP was.
In addition, Russ has no reliable jumpshot. But layups are HIGH percentage shots.
He gets most of them in transition.
But, whatever the big problem IS, we need to identify it and fix it ASAP
