    JV pitches with more caution in the playoffs than he does in the regular season, it seems to me. He would definitely challenge players more with that high fastball in the regular season, and it seemed like it was a more aggressive challenge. I wonder if that's why he struggles a little more in the WS: he's not letting it all hang out and is instead trying to dot his pitches instead of just throwing them with full confidence.
