Wow! I sure wasn't expecting the series to end up this way, but I didn't expect to see a thread like this either. Come on man, it's not over. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really disappointed in our postseason play so far, but I'm not hanging in the towel. I choose to have some faith in our guys to come back and win it all. Wouldn't that be cool? You know how great it will feel to win this series at home and then play like we know we are capable of against the Yankees? The Astros are the best team in baseball, and we have the 2 best pitchers in the league. Sure, Verlander was off tonight but he is capable of a great game next time, along with all our guys. It's much more fun to have hope. The victory will be so much sweeter when we have to fight harder to get it. Go Astros!
Look, maybe Scarface is doing one long reverse jinx? This thread was started during the Stros first championship run, maybe Scarface, time to make another thread?
Your nonsense this year in the Astros forum followed an opening road trip in this dump stadium and 2 playoff games in this dump. I've resigned myself to the fact that this stadium is kryptonite to the Astros. There isn't choking going on. It's two excellent pitching staffs and two stadiums with huge home field advantages and thankfully the Astros have the final advantage at home.
Sarcasm or no this time? Or will you wait until Thursday night to decide so you can pretend you're not f***ing dumbass?
No Sarcasm here. The hitters have tight butt checks. Choking HARD. We will see if they unclench by Thursday.
You come across as incredibly intelligent - where'd you go to school to get that incredible vocabulary of yours? Harvard? Duke?
I want the Astros to win, but this looks BAD. It's not that they lost, it is how the lost the last 2 games.
What's so dumb about the concept of "choking" is that it implies the so-called chokers were somehow entitled by birthright to a championship. As if the other team doesn't belong in the league, much less the playoffs. This ain't the NBA, where submediocre teams routinely make the playoffs. There would be no shame in losing to any of these MLB playoffs teams, in any round. Not that I wish to watch that. #takeitback
