As I said, middle left. Their news is FACT based, their opinion pieces are left leaning. Whereas Fox is almost all opinion and fake news based. DD
Well I guess they are the enemy of the people. 90% of Trump's blatant lies aren't spammed to the front page of the news. When MSM gets it wrong, it's spamed to the top of right wing sources every single single time. So when is the last time you posted a blatant falsehood aired by MSM? Because that's the last time they eggregiously lied. It's major news when outlets like NYT, WaPo,WSJ get it factually wrong.
I've seen NYT, CNN, WaPo, CBS and NBC issue retractions when they've gotten it wrong. I've yet to hear Trump admit he got something wrong. I mean I'm still wondering where I should send my donations to Alabama after getting devastated by Hurricane Dorian.
I don't watch ABC (hell, I don't "watch" anything, just read), but have they issued a retraction/apology? There are three things that could have happened, all inexcusable. But in increasing horribleness. 1. They got pranked. Someone on twitter or someone emailed the network with "OMG! Footage from Syria!" Newsroom should know better, but in this case ABC didn't intend to mislead. 2. A staffer knew she/he was sending the wrong footage into the newsroom and claiming it was from Syria. 3. An editor or multiple staffers knew what they were doing. 3 doesn't make much sense to me, because the footage isn't all that great anyway. And it just hurts their reputation, ultimately, for a few minutes of air time? Doesn't make sense. I know stations in California have been pranked successfully multiple times, and I'd expect that to be on the rise, given how desperate all these channels/outlets are for views and clicks and "news."
The fact the video and headline is fake doesnt change the fact that it is trumps fault. It very easily couldve been real.
Thank you. NBC literally was on air in Syria 5 minutes ago & you could see mortars going off in a Syrian town by Turkish forces & hear machine gun fire. There seems to be an agenda to say that all the facts of any matter aren't facts at all because one single media outlet got one single detail wrong, or fabricated one element. The FACT is that that President Trump pulled US troop support from the Kurds which gave a green light to Erdogan to invade Syria & that has quickly led to two key elements: 1. Hundreds of ISIS members being freed and an inevitable resurgence 2. Our ally quickly making a deal with Putin/Assad to move into Assad's controlled region of Syria under their protection. We can debate whether what is happening is good or not in the long run, but we cannot just play this silly game of trying to remove facts from the equation in service of a political cleric.
Uh, hello, yes it does. Just like if you misspell a word on this BBS, all the facts and opinions you present about anything are wrong in perpetuity throughout the universe.
This is what is so wrong today. People see an error, a bias, a fact, a data that align to their view and boom, all context are gone and suppressed, the wider lens broken, leaving only a narrow view. I think it's call confirmation bias or something like that.
I'm not taking sides but he apparently did have a PhD in Islamic Studies from... somewhere. I imagine that is what they are alluding to.
