He was about 6 inches from an 80 yard TD to Fuller. 10 inches from a 60 yard TD to Hop. The narrative would be completely different. This was against the best secondary in the NFL.
We already know DW loves him some big plays and holds the ball trying to make a play but when they’re keeping everything in front you take the check downs and hots but he just can’t help himself. The two shots he had he missed otherwise CAR defended us as well as anyone can.
I guess you didn't read the rest of the post? The question mark after the crow sentence? "Yes, it's early" "Im not a fan of butt chin, but I was willing to see how things played out." There is no conclusion drawn. I'm waiting to see how things played out. That's where "Maybe" comes in.
Specifically, this only 2nd season with a healthy Watson. Also, it is the first season with the GM structure. That's what we are waiting to see how it plays out.
Every year it’s something new. Is next year going to be “wait and see, we didn’t have a first round pick”?
Is Carolina really the best secondary in the NFL? They’ve got a nice group but first time I’ve heard that. Donte Jackson was out as well. Regardless, they completely shut us down. Very strange to not see us try to run the ball more as well. Seemed like we were down 21 points the whole game the way we were dropping back and looking for a big play
You know...firing a coach....just to fire a coach.....doesn't work most of the time. You better have the RIGHT replacement. Lincoln Riley/Dabo Sweeney are pipe dreams that are NEVER happening. Bill O'Brien has not proven he is a great coach. A good coach? His player play for him. He has made it to the playoffs 3 times in 5 years (including last year). Most people question his temperament and/or decision-making (some question Belichick's). That is basically said of every Head Coach not name Belichick or any coach that hasn't won a Super Bowl in the NFL. You can go down the list and look at recent coaching changes.....and how many have actually changed a team's fortune for the better (interesting enough, Philly changed from Andy Reid...but it took another change...before Peterson got them to the promise land). McVeigh in LA is the one everyone looks at.....and that has worked. However, you can get on the coaching carousel if u are not careful. Many fans look for re-treads......history say NO. So, you better find the right Co-ordinator (realistically, college coach don't work in the NFL...Jimmy Johnson is an exception). Here's the thing: You fire O'Brien, he will have a job the next season as a HEAD COACH. Kubiak 2.0?
I'm not doubting he held the ball too long or anything but I wish it showed a wider angle so we could see if there were any open players. Also doesn't look like a great job by the o-line. 4 of those sacks, the panthers only rushed 4...
It’s not firing a coach just to be firing him. In that case, we fired Kubiak just to be firing him because BOB is definitely not the RIGHT replacement. Now in the 6th season with him and the same mistakes are happening. You say players play for him, well we still get embarrassed in the playoffs. We still lose to backup quarterbacks. We still choke when we need that big win. Every time we really need to show up, we don’t. Who cares if BOB finds a HEAD COACHING job somewhere else. He didn’t work here and we let him go. You want to continue to run it back with the same coach who isn’t making the team better? Who has he developed? Who’s gotten better under BOB? Why are fans so afraid to let a coach go because they’re scared he might win somewhere else?! We’re not going to talk about Belichick because everyone knows who tries to mimic him. One has 6 rings.
You don’t need a wide angle to see the check down back as an option in a few of those. We m not saying I want a check down Charlie, but you have to take it over a sack
Let's see. BoB only had Watson for 1 full season (they went 11-5). That is the 2nd best record the Texans have EVER had in the regular season (behind 12-4 in 2012). Yes, the playoffs were a disappointment. Mistakes happen on EVERY TEAM. You are delusional. Why don't u take a google trip on various message board for NFL teams. You would be amazed how much the complaints for most teams are the same. You think a team like the Jets would love to go 11-5 and lose in the 1st round with a QB making his first playoff start? Getting embarrassed in the playoffs? KC game...Brian Hoyer, enough said. Colts were just better last playoff game. 21-7 is a loss, not an embarrassment. Geez......Clueless. Belichick was fired in Cleveland.....before he figured it out with the Patriots. The team has gotten better. That's the thing. LOOK at their record last season. The one thing they are trying to fix is the Oline. That's the problem with the team. Steps taken, time needed. They have been together for basically a MONTH. Talk to me in December.....let's see where their at. The offense will be better.......u do realize you have 2 new RBs, a new WR, 3 new Offensive linemen....basically that have been playing a MONTH together? Does O'Brien need to improve? HELL YES. GEEZ..****ING CLUELESS.
Secondary? Time management? Challenges? U act like the oline is our only weakness. This sht of a hc has shown he sucks at time management. Do u honestly believe he will magically get better at time management by december?
As I said in the other thread, Andy Reid STILL suffers from time management issues (had one in the Lions game). What he can improve at is the play calling as the line improves. As for the time management and challenges, they need to have that guy.......who job is to advise the coach if it is a good challenge or not. EVERY team has timeout issues...EVERYONE. Always a complaint.
Lol you know what I’m done with you. I WILL talk to you in December and if we are having the same problems, then what? You are going to admit you’ve been the one clueless all along?
