I can't believe the Astros are stinking it up against a pitcher with a 7+ ERA coming in. WTF is going on with this team?

I mean, Simmons hit a really high pitch that almost nobody would ever swing at much less actually get a hold of. Our illustrious bats ought to be able to erase 3 runs early in a game. Will they? Nobody knows.

 

The first one was a slider that was over the plate, no tail to it. The second was a way high 94 heater that Simmons somehow got a hold of. Neither are indicative of bigger issues with JV HOWEVER the offense has to get their shiit together or it could a short post-season.

 

Offense is gonna mess around and go home early in the playoffs. Need to wake up

Really want to see him get 4 more Ks and get 300 for the season. Please, Hinch, let him stay in and get that as well. 3000 Ks is a career number, but 300 Ks in a season at this age is Randy Johnson only territory.

 

We don't deserve the #1 seed. Obviously our offense has taken the week off. So bad.

 

Neither do Yankees, Rays, and A's if last week of offense is what makes a team deserving of the number one seed. Astros have won 105 games...that usually matters.

 

They deserve what they've earned. However, the way they've been batting recently, if you don't pull their heads out of their rectums, they may very well earn themselves a first-round exit as well.
