Bill O'Brien just put his ass on the line. He better have a good season. If you want him gone, well, here is your chance to see that happen.

    The Clowney trade proves otherwise.

You are not going to fire a coach right before the season. They could have hired a GM after Gaine was fired, they chose not to.

This is ****ing stupid a 3rd round pick and two scrubs? B’OB is in way over his head as a HC/GM.

****ing let Clowney sit out as many games as he wants and see how long that lasts and trade him away next season when he has less leverage.

He can say he’s ok sitting out but let’s see how he feels when he starts missing those million dollar paychecks every week.

    ****ing joke.

I didn’t want to give up Clowney, 1st and a 2nd for Tunsil.......but knowing what we just did I would’ve given up two firsts and Clowney for Tunsil

You assume it is just O'Brien making this decision. It is not. No way he can do this trade without others..........

I have this vision of bellichek and caserio giggling while staring at a string of texts to O'Brien on caserio's phone "advising" his supposed future employer into the unemployment line.

the only question is whether the chaplain is in the office with them or on the other side with O'Brien thinking he's getting legit solid advice

But they can't even get in to this season without it turning into a completely incompetent s*** show. This, by every single measure, is a terrible trade. They would've gotten a 3rd anyway if he walked after this season. There's crap tons of money left in the cap with numerous holes to fill. And an incompetent boo'b running the show from top to bottom with no one checking him.

Someday, we'll all look back on this and laugh...but for now, it's incredibly difficult being a Texans fan.

well - given that he fired Gaine who stood in the way from trading clowney (as he wanted to extend him) - I'm pretty sure it's well beyond assumption. You just don't want to pull your head out from underground

I wonder how things would have turned out if Bo Porter was the de facto General manager and manager

Clowney is my idol now. He took a status that has generally been considered in the teams control, flipped it to the player, chose his destination, and likely made his agent take a significantly reduced fee to continue representing him.

Clowney would have been pitching and playing left field

    Mind boggling, truly.

Because if the Texans lost Clowney for nothing themselves they would have been compensated a 3rd round pick.

This was just a Bill power move, an F-U to Clowney...who is probably giggling as he puts on his Seahawks jersey. He gets to play for an actual competent organization now.

Yep, how many times in the NFL has a player made demands on where they would like to get traded?

Doesn't happen. All the Texans had to do was wait an F'n week and they get leverage back because Clowney starts to lose money. A week.

Defenders will still find a way to minimize BOB's role in this. By the end of the day, it'll somehow be Gaine's fault. (It can't be Mike Devlin though, he's being saved for the mid/post season firing)
