Look for Powell to shoot up the rankings as well... he has really started to turn it on. Sampson scouted him when he was barely on the map and it paid off as UH has been consistent in their approach to getting him. I’m also told UH isn’t sold on Grimes having to sit out.
I was surprised to see Grimes in the Red/White game. But I found out that players can still practice with the team even though they are sitting out the year. Maybe they know something about Grimes.
Sampson already said Grimes would be doing everything the Coogs are doing to prepare for the upcoming season. and hes going to be playing on the italy trip they just left for today
Cool. I'm a fan of red shirting. This is a little different, but same result; a year older, more maturity, familiarity with the system.
Sounds like a heck of an offseson. Considering we lost Galen and Davis I would think just making the tournament this year would be a heck of a success.
This team is going to be pretty good. If Grimes gets a waiver, could be an Ellite Eight or final four team.
I heard Hinton was tasked in the offseason with becoming a more consistent shooter. If he can shoot from the perimeter consistently, it should work great. I love the length and size they bring on defense.
https://247sports.com/college/kansa...-lighting-up-Houston-overseas-tour-134459648/ I don't know how accurate the report is but the mention he is sitting out. Any official word from a reliable source?
the odds aren't in favor for him. coog fans shouldn't be expecting him to suit up during the year. of course it would be great if he did This team has got some added talent debuting this year. sasser and mills are going to excite alot of coog fans
Excited to see Mills. Didn't Sampson say he's the best offensive player he's signed since being at UH?
I like it! Plenty of time to get the rotation settled and start peaking by the time the tournament gets here in March.
