    Sanchez is owed about 5 million and is worth -4 million (-0.5 WAR). Toronto dumped that -9 million negative worth contract.

    I really don't have any clue what the Toronto GM is doing.

    This is the same guy that gave us Aledmys Diaz, an extremely useful player with a lot of team control, for Trent Thornton.

    I get wanting to get your hands on blocked prospects with some potential, but they give up a whole lot to get them. Any one of those 3 players individually would have felt like a decent return for Fisher.

    In actual dollars, Sanchez was only owed the remainder of his 3.9 million dollar contract for this season.

    We’ve talked about 2020, but between Sanchez and Greinke, they added to the 2019 payroll as well in a fairly material way too. Nice to see them pushing the chips in.
