Who cares if you have a player with a specific skill set(in this case 3 and d) if their overall effect on the game is a minus? The whole concept of the 3 and d player is that they are at least above average in every other category and excellent at 3s and defense. You gotta be able to at least hold your own on most nights with all the other skills - that means being above average. Shump's defensive metrics aren't that great anymore and he is now below average in everything else - overall he is a minus on the court despite 3s and defense being his best skill. This is kind of like when we had Ryan Anderson - dude could shoot REALLY well and we needed that skill at the time but he fell off in all the other categories to the point that his shooting wasn't enough to balance out all the other areas we were being hurt when he was on the floor. To put it another way, if I'm trying to make the perfect sandwich to impress someone and while I'm making it I find out the lettuce went bad and there is no other lettuce around - I'm not going to include the lettuce just because I think lettuce needs to be on the perfect sandwich - if I do that I ruin the sandwich....so I just omit the lettuce and serve it without it and hope for the best. Shump is the lettuce that went bad.
He could easily slip in and take greens minutes. I still hope green is apart of the teams success though
nothing illogical about it. we have 20 roster spots in the offseason. they only guaranteed his contract for 50k. he's an athletic wing shooter to bring to camp. just rolling the dice with nothing to lose. most likely he gets waived during preseason.
Morey collecting everyone from the 2013 NBA Draft, just like went he acquired half the players drafted from the Harden draft. Bennett McMcemore MCW Isiah Cannon James McEnnis Robert Covington Troy Daniels Brandon Paul Anyone else I missed? Not as impressive as the Harden collection
Anderson’s main problem was he stopped doing his best skill. He stopped shooting for whatever reason. I don’t know if he lost confidence or what, but it seemed to happen almost overnight.
I'm surprised at how positive the responses have been. Let's be honest - McLemore and Bennett are bottom of the barrel stuff.
He is very quick laterally. Excellent feet. It’s his handle and his focus that have betrayed him so far.
Contract year player that cashed in and secured the bag. Here’s some of the top FA signings from the summer of 2016 for comparison. KEVIN DURANT: 2 years, $54.5 million with Warriors DWYANE WADE: 2 years, $47.5 million with Bulls LEBRON JAMES: 3 years, $100 million with Cavaliers JAMES HARDEN: Renegotiated for a four-year, $118 million deal C.J. MCCOLLUM: 4 years, $106 million with Blazers RUSSELL WESTBROOK: 3 years, $85 million with Thunder RYAN ANDERSON: 4 years, $80 million with Rockets
A place where Westbrick becomes “Black Jesus” and the 2nd superstar we’ve been missing. A place where Austin Rivers becomes a new fan favorite. Where people laugh at first with the signing of one Michael Beasley fresh from China and then are genuinely pissed when he’s traded. A magical place where there was even hope for Michael Carter-Williams and many before him..... Thomas Robinson, Jonny Flynn, Dabeet just to name a few. Only around these parts can McLemore finally show why he drew comparisons to Ray Allen coming out of college and potential for the biggest #1 draft pick bust of all time to become a contributor. All things are possible when dawning Rockets Red (apparently). That’s why we love it here. Never change ClutchFans. Never change.
If you check the post history, this is definitely a level... most likely a secondary uid. I like it, lol.
I've always liked Ben. I think he and Bennet will play great here. With the Kings and Cavs (without LeBron) those two had no stars to look up to. No real guidance on and off the court. Now they have Harden AND Westbrook, along with Tucker, Gordon, Chandler, Olajuwon, John Lucas, Calvin Murphy, etc. And they're HUNGRY. #TimeToEat
That's where we difffer... I like butler wanted him...would of traded gordan for him...but I concern him a bottom tier superstar
