This guy sucks lol. Barely got playing time on scrub teams and shot sub 40% but primarily known as a shooter..
I’m posting this here because I don’t know who else would appreciate it. I just took a final and I’m sitting at a bar downtown, and I just saw a guy who is an exact replica of Terrence Jones, only he’s about 6 ft tall. Mind blown.
Playing time comment is valid. Shooting wise he’s a really good three point shooter and more than capable at the rim. Just horrible everywhere else.
McLemore was #372 (out of 514) is Real Plus Minus last season with -2.21. In the fivethirtyeight CARMELO projections, he's charted to have either 0 or -0.1 projected value over a replacement player at his position. He is not good. I can only imagine that Morey believes getting wide-open shots from Harden/Westbrook assists will help him, and (maybe) that the Rockets culture can inspire him to play better defense since he's only really been on terrible teams.
can we all agree that bad teams need a lot of talent so players with marginal talent cannot flourish. Good teams, already have primary talent and need players to do specific things. For the Rockets, they just need someone who can shoot 3s and, at the very least, is not a embarrassment on defense. I think how he holds up on defense will determine if he will be used for the Rockets, since he has already shown he can shoot. it is a lot easier for a player (if they accept the role) to flourish when all they are being asked to do is stand in one place, catch the ball and shoot. run back on D and guard the player in front of them
