CGC is the best grading company to submit if you looking for ROI CBCS is for collector. Not a fan of their label and their case compare to CGC. Both cgc and cbcs grade are consistently close. Only cgc is a lot harsher on their grade Stay away from PGX. Their grade curve is a lot higher compare to CGC and CBCS. I'm talking about 2 to 3 points higher. They don't authenticate signature either where the other two have to be witness at the convention upon submitting it to get graded
Thank you for your input. I need a better camera, mic and a green screen later on whenever I have the money to upgrade. I just want to show the viewers a close up look at the book and let them determine what grade the book is and how consistent cgc are on their grades. The water damage on the back of 181 imo could have been a 5.5 if it wasn't there. Talking about a grand or two difference from 4.5 to 5.5 CGC doesn't really send their books like that. These are purchase directly on eBay. So I do know the grade before hand. I'm just giving the viewers a chance to take a guess
I have 3 more books to unbox later on this week. I will continue to show you guys my on going collection The holy Grail eBay live auction 5 years ago. Not my video but i would love to have witness that live Don't forget to check your grandpa collection in his attics
Go collect was very good. Looked up my collection value. $700 - Scare Crow first appearance #189 ( 8.5 ) $56 - Aquaman origin story #48 ( 9.0 ) $34 - Superman Death #75 ( 9.4 ) $1,700 Lizard vs Spiderman #44 ( 9.4 ) $220 Flash punches Superman #220 (9.0)
Yeah, I found out about gocollect.com last night when I was looking for software. I had an old account with CLZ/Collectorz and apparently they just integrated gocollect pricing into the web version of their software. If I update my account, it looks like I’d only have to pay $29.99/yr to keep the prices updated automagically.... I think. I don’t see CGC census data in the software even though it seems to be on gocollect, and that’d be nice to have. Some comics on gocollect didn’t have an FMV yet. There are a few obscure titles from the 40’s and 50’s I couldn’t find on gocollect, as well. I still may go with the software, though since ComicBase seems a lot pricier. I still need to check that one out. Thx for the help. So ironic that you started this thread about 1-2 days after I decided to get back into buying old issues and determining the value of some of my stuff. Lol.
30 a year on go comic is not bad. I pay 10 a month gpa analysis which is pretty accurate. I figured since I'm getting some new books to unbox. I thought I would share it with you guys
MCU just announced blade movie last night My CGC 9.2 first appearance of blade just went up!. Check out the two recent sales since the announcement on July 20
Not looking to sell. Just in case I get a foreclosure notice I need to be ready. I almost forgot though, I have one more comic that is Flash #10 ( 8.0 ) but there is no value on the site. It's probably around 2k if I were to guess. Love covers with water. I don't know why. I just do.
eBay has one 8.0 restore label for 900 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/360309278801 If yours an 8.0 blue label. I would take the last sale price of 7.0 blue and 9.0 blue to find the average value for 8.0
Thank you! I'm blue label (I had to look that up). Restored is not for me. What does SP and EP stand for in the screen shot?
The "P" in those stands for "Professional", the "E" stands for "Extensive" and the "S" stands for "Slight". An "M" would stand for "Moderate". They refer to the amount of restoration that's been done on the comic. Instead of the "P", you may see an "A", and that would refer to an "Amateur" restoration.
Nice books OP. Some of the late 80s and 90s can bring some money. I sold a raw Amazing Spiderman #361 for $150 on eBay, buyer left a positive feedback. I have a bunch of ASM #361 that i bought when i was young. It was overproduced and overabundance of 9.8s, but the cover brings money. I'm going to get the Batman to grade, to me minimum 9.0 without pressing. My CGC account is a $25 one, so if you have great quality books. lt will get the grades unlike some who says if you have big account, you get better grades. I've only submitted 5 books (2 9.8s, 2 9.6s, 1 9.4- without pressing).
I would hold out until October 2020 when the venom 2 movie release to sell ams #361. I can see it double the value.
Hmm... it was a good day yesterday. Accidentally found a comic I bought for around $195 a few years ago in an auction is probably worth around $1500-$2000. I need to find out what else I have. lol.
