I like that trade a lot. In a perfect world you would have Iguodola here also and start House. Westbrook, Rivers, Iguodola, Tucker, and Chandler/Hartenstein would seem to be a interesting bench to play against a lot of teams.
Just don’t want older players patching themselves together #ringchasers that cost the team long term. I don’t want to pay Tuesday for a hamburger today. When the hamburger is already showing signs of being a leftover.
I think it was speculation. Houston and Miami were mentioned as possible spots to take him, but it was someone saying, "Well, maybe......"
I just don't see Tilman paying for three super-duper max contracts at the same time. Golden State, yes. Philadelphia? Apparently. Not too many teams pony up that kind of cash on three players, and only an invasion-of-the-body-snatchers pod version of Tilman Fertitta would pony up. Unless, of course, his crystal ball told him he'd make a buttload of money with the three stars. Anyway, again, just a sportswriter jerking off.
Would rather have Robert Covington. Would not require gutting core of team to aquire, better contract and fits need - 3/4 that is elite defender and lights out 3 point shooter. Griffin is ball dominant 4 on bloated contract + history of injuries. Acquiring Blake would gut core as well as depth, this would be exacerbated by his history of availability.
