    If they are just going to buy him out, why wouldn’t they. Especially if his salary is lower and it’s cheaper.

    Memphis is telling teams they are not buying out Iggy, but are 100% open to moving him via trade.

    This is honestly a great idea.

    DAL and the LA teams have the cap space to take on Iggy, but doubt they want to tie up their cap space (without compensation).

    MEM would prefer to receive some compensation and lower their salary obligation.

    Iggy wants to play on a contender.

    DEAL:
    SnT Shumpert at $13 MM per year + Chiozza + 2nd round pick

    MEM gets a pick for their troubles. They’d be hard capped, but they aren’t close to hitting the threshold currently, so that’s not a big deal.

    And that is what the Grizzlies should say to try to get some value. I wonder if that changes, particularly as they get closer to the trade deadline.

    Solid defender, low risk of mistakes, finishes well at the rim. Play him at the 4 most the time where hitting 3s is a bonus. He's is 100% playable and worth the move. He brings serious stability to the bench...

    the chances are that unlikely? thats wierd. seems like iggy has stepped up time and time again. and he just did so again in these playoffs
