Sure he’d like to trade Chris Paul. I’d like to see who’s desperate enough to take a 35 yo pg getting 160m over 4 years. Guys on this forum that think we can get positive value back are delusional. Need to get your brain checked

    Cool.

    Can the Rockets beat the Warriors with $40 million/year mid-late 30's CP3?

Hell no they can't. Trade him and re-tool around the best offensive player in the NBA.

It doesn't matter if we can sweep 28 teams if we can't beat Golden State.

Trade harden and Pj. Don’t their prime on this team. Rockets should start tanking for next 5 years or so.

considering the usage harden has, that's actually pretty significant. the issue here is harden doesn't have that alternative option to play off the ball much these days. so that limits this to an extent bc at what cost do you adjust cp3's playmaking usage when harden doesn't adjust to it accordingly

its obviously just one game but cp3's game vs gs without harden shows that very good things can happen despite not having the greatest %'s but he can rack up a boatload of assists

Lol, we’ve gone from second best team in the league to “let’s stop wasting the primes of our best players”. Give me a break, only on CFs.

We would have if our Center wasn’t a massive net negative on the floor. Give me a break with this revisionist history bull.

There is practically no way to compete for a title this upcoming season, trades or no trades. It's a wash. What I'm saying is to build and set the team up for 2020-21 and 2021-22 to compete.

A clean slate is the best we can do, and the idiot Lakers and Suns are ripe for a Chris Paul dump. There's potential to get Lonzo Ball out of Pelinka for Paul, and expirings from someone else for Capela. Get another asset or two for Gordon. Then you package up these pieces acquired, and sell high on them while we're top 4 in the west with Harden. Hell, maybe Lonzo even pans out as a star if Pelinka gifts him, and we use cap space to sign another free agent.

I'm not trading PJ. But Harden can go. If we are lucky enough to get another star for Harden, PJ will fit right in

For this team to win a championship Harden either needs to become a complimentary piece (by acquiring an AD, KD, Lebron, etc.) or they need to trade him. This team is 100% guaranteed to never win a championship if he is required to be the leader.

These talking head shows are the best.

We continue to lose to Warriors....”these guys are chokers, their style wont ever work”

Reports surface Morey wants to shake it up....”these guys are crazy, no one has come closer to beating the Warriors!”

Debateable we are second best team. Also 2020 will see good teams making improvements. Rockets will just get older and lose more role players. We trying for a championship or content fighting for 2nd best?

    THERE IS NO SHOT
THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY OF BEATING THE WARRIORS WITH CP3'S OLD ASS

    Build for 20-21 and 21-22. Don't #runitback, #walkitback.

Running a team doesn’t simply mean beating your man off the dribble and scoring. It means making the right reads based on the defense and ensuring your team gets a quality shot every possession. It also means getting the ball to your teammates in positions where they can be successful. Chris Paul has always been able to do that because he sees the game at a high level. He’s always been a capable scorer, but even more adapt at setting his teammates up. Also, in that 4 on 4 situation you describe, his best scorer is not engaged in the play. That limits his options for finding the best shot possible.

The Rockets have three options with CP3. 1) Trade him for pennies on the dollar and take a step back until you can find the best Robin for Harden’s Batman. 2) Keep the status quo and not maximize the skill sets of your best players. 3) Give CP3 more opportunities to run the offense with Harden on the court and have Harden be engaged so he’s ready to attack when CP3 gets the ball to him in his sweet spots.

Who do we replace Capela with while the Rockets are on the door-step of luxury tax? Paul's contract cripples this franchise. Unless you think the MLE or old injury-prone Kevin Love will save the Rockets I do not understand your logic

Isn't it considered tampering when a member of another front office discusses another player openly like that?
