Once they missed playoffs they clearly ranked. They shut LeBron down for rest of the season. I’m surprised he would sit considering he could catch Jabar on all time scoring list.
wow. This is so rigged it is eye popping! Don't they even try to hide it anymore? Memphis and NOP lost their franchise players? Here is two top picks And here are pick no.3 and no.4 to the two biggest markets to make absolute sure that AD goes to one of them. Lakers with 2% chances! I didn't even know that what the Lakers did was legally possible. I thought you could only leap to the top 3 picks not the 4.
Boston still makes the most sense for an Anthony Davis trade. Here are the best possible offers each team can make: Boston: Tatum, Brown, Rozier, 14th, 20th, 22nd, future Memphis first round pick Los Angeles: Ball, Ingram, Kuzma + 4th pick New York: Knox, Smith Jr., Ntilikina + 3rd pick Lakers have the 4th pick to offer, but this is a top-3 heavy draft with Zion, Morant, and Barrett. Meanwhile, Knicks can guarantee one of those three with the 3rd pick, but the rest of their package is weak and has limited potential. Again if I'm David Griffin, I take the Celtics deal, then look to unload Holiday to perhaps the Suns who desperately need a starting point guard, in exchange for the 6th pick. Add it all up and you have... Rozier Brown Tatum Randle Zion 6th, 14th, 20th, 22nd, future Memphis first round pick That's an incredible pool of talent and picks for the Pelicans to rebuild an entire roster.
I'm there with ya 100% though I don't know if Boston will give up that entire package if Kyrie is gone. Plus, a small issue, Rozier is a RFA so that might complicate things. If anything, swap Rozier out for Smart and I think that is still a good deal for the Pelicans.
Hell I hope they trade AD to Boston because I would throw Capela, Gordon, and a 2nd for Holiday. Move Harden to the 3 spot, start both Holiday and Paul in the backcourt, coax DeAndre into the vet minimum. Jordan Tucker Harden Holiday Paul
Thanks for the heads up on Rozier. I forgot he was a RFA. Still, Smart works in that deal as well. Now on the topic of Kyrie, I think Ainge will fix his own mess. He has a divided locker room right now. On one side, he's got veterans ready for contention in Kyrie, Hayward, and Horford who all fit the same timeline. On the flip side, Ainge has young and inexperienced assets in Tatum, Brown, Rozier, and Smart who all need time to develop and mature. You can't blame Ainge for building such a mishmash of players because secretly he's been collecting all this ammunition exactly for a blockbuster trade like Anthony Davis. Ainge will make this deal happen. Kyrie will stay because that's what he wants -- all the kids gone. Look at that lineup... Kyrie Rozier Hayward Davis Horford Morris Baynes Theiss Ojeleye Williams That's a freaking top contender in the East better than Bucks or Raptors.
Not to continually nitpick but Rozier is as good as gone if Kyrie comes back. But that might actually work in favor of Boston if they can s&t him to Phoenix and pick up one of their young kids. I agree though that something's gotta give between vets and youth and this is the moment Ainge has been waiting for all these years. I hope Morey can eek his way in there somehow and get a Randle or Holiday
