He also lead the USG in playoffs. His TO RATIO is no much high as a ball handler.Harden takes more possessions than anybody else to scoring and assisting. You cannot only count turnover with assists.
Yes but the reffing always changes in the playoffs. If the style is so easily nerfed by the refs, maybe it needs to be tweaked. Whining to the refs will only change so much
Take a look for yourself at what the Game 5 really was. Harden is better facilatator than both Kawhi and Durant, hes the better offensive player than both.
DurNt blew a 3-1 lead to Warriors and then joined them. Kawhi quit on the Spurs. LeBron and Giannis are 2 sides to the same physical freak coin. Still you're talking about 5 guys
Shook, watch the video, I know we all feel like Harden should have done more, but his game 5 was not a choke at all, watch the video.
Ill still hold my stance. Harden without doubt still top 3 players in this league and easily could argue for the best player in the NBA. The guy's talent and pure dominance to the game is unreal. he could alter the opposing team's flow and control the entire game and dictate it however he wanted to. What's really discouraging and heartbreaking is in game 5 he only took 3 shots, 3 ****ing shots in the 4th!!! now I know he was being double teamed but even then he was actually controlling the game and dropping assists in the 4th. if we had a good coach a timeouts should been taken during those possessions where another approach could've been taken by giving the ball to cp3 and letting Harden play off the ball, and ofcourse MDA is not a believer of adjustments and let harden and cp3 play the game the way they want to. fast forward to game 6. I don't know if anyone noticed it, but during the 4th quarter, multiple times when capela was inbounding the ball to harden, James was causally walking half-court, you could see he was nonchalant or he knew we were going to lose the game. his body language was completely off. during the press conference, his comments "we know what to do", what the **** does that mean...?? you've been preparing yourself for failure...!!!! going into an elimination game with that mentality it's guaranteed L. Harden has underperfomed in the playoffs and its really sad because the guy is truly one of the best offensive players in the NBA history.
I feel bad for fans who don't see the difference in mentality of a Curry, Klay, Lilliard, CJ, Jokic, Butler and now Kawhi vs. a Harden. Even if KL misses that amazing buzzer-beater and we had talked about that missing FT, he went out with confidence and looking aggressive to attack. Harden just doesn't have that. And it's not about amount of shots, KL had to shoot a lot and lead because his teammates were shrinking. Particularly Siakam looked scared of the moment, wouldn't shoot, but KL wanted those shots and they made sure he got it. Harden on the other hand walks it up, even into a double-team like people have already pointed out, with little time left instead of getting into the offense quicker and moving around making sure he gets the ball. Harden just doesn't often play with that aggressiveness and take the best shot available when we need him the most. KL made sure he left it all out there on the floor and he actually actively defends for 90% of the game as opposed to Harden who plays hard defense maybe a few times a game, so it's not like Harden has this crazy pressure that other star players don't have. I disagree with the Harden and superstars difference, it's rather a difference between the best players on the team. There's simply a clear difference in mentality, confidence and approach when it comes to the biggest moment, not skill nor anything else. In a vaccuum you only take Kawhi and maybe KD / Curry over Harden, but in a game 7 when the stakes are the highest, I'll take my chances with lots of guys before I do with Harden.
Harden plays like the GOAT in the regular season...dude averaged an efficient 36 ppg and had a 30 PER...to elevate from that this year in the playoffs would be to basically become MJ...ridiculous expectations for the playoffs he averaged 32, 7, and 7 on 41/35/84 shooting splits, 57% TS, and a 25.3 PER, but because he didn’t deliver in the 4th quarter of game 6 by dropping 20 into the 4th instead of his 12, we’re gonna act like he was trash...man, people need to cut the bullsh*t yeah, let’s act like the guy who averaged an efficient 35 against GS was the biggest problem for the Rockets... Other than PJ, who else on this roster showed up more than Harden? I’ll wait... When he was shooting a lot in the end of game 3, y’all b*tched and wanted the ball in CP0’s hands who played like trash. When he gets his teammates involved and they’re actually managing to score in game 5, y’all b*tch about that too. I hope he just demands a trade and goes somewhere else where he can team up with other superstars. Why stay here carrying role players just to get sh*tted on by your own fanbase? Go Harden. You tried, but it ain’t enough here with these rosters. Bron needed other stars. KD needed other stars. U do too. Don’t waste your time here.
What's every other Western Conference team's excuse? Every team in the West over the last 5 years has either lost to the Warriors in the playoffs or wasn't good enough to even play them in a series.
Facilitate his own shot? And as far as the video it doesn't show how slow it took him to start attacking. He was walking the ball up waiting for GS to setup their D, then going with 5-6 seconds left on the shot clock
You missed the point, read my post and then come back. I said in a closeout game (game 7) in the 4th when stakes are the highest. If you trust Harden with the ball to win it for you over Klay, Curry, CJ, Lilliard, Butler, Kawhi or even Jokic then I'd say kudos for sticking to our guy. Some of these are arguable, but at least I saw all of those guys make clutch shots, with confidence, aggressive and wanting to take the shot. Harden, not so much.
Curry and Klay have ruled the Conference as a tandem for 5 years. But--- Where did Butler lead Chicago or Minny? He quit and left town. Kawhi quit on the Spurs and left town. Jokic went out with home court in the same round as Harden-- vs Portland. If the Warriors sweep Portland, it'll be the 3rd year in a row they've been swept out of the playoffs. Last year New Orleans swept Portland. All I'm saying some of these guys the media make out as heros but don't utter a word when they lose.
