Watched the first one with an ex of mine in the theater. Yoga, granola type, but a total dog lover so she was was totally with Keanu once that thing happened. When it was over she called it the "most fun violence p*rn ever".
Im kinda over the female villain thing. Didnt like the mute chick in JW2 and am not feeling this one.
Something I will never hear from my wife. Mad Max Fury Road-type violence? Watchable. Bullet (multiple bullet) wounds inflicted at close range? Nope.
My wife is totally down with the John Wick films. Both of us can't wait for 3. It baffles me at how good and how much fun these are. I'm thinking they stop at 3.
I think they might make one more if this one is a huge hit -- Keanu is not a young man anymore and is short on time for big action flicks.
I don’t know. Liam Neeson is still chugging his mid-sixties ass after bad guys. Of course, this involves lots of quick camera cuts. TAKEN 6: “You have taken my daughter’s friend’s mother’s tax advisor. I have special skills. I will find you. And I will kill you.” Keanu probably has a John Wick 4 in him, if he isn’t sick of it. The money must be good.
I thought their plan was to start a show after the 3rd one and it would star Keanu as well. I think on one of HBO/Starz/etc. Edit: Found it. Seems like Keanu isn't the main character but will appear in the show. https://screenrant.com/john-wick-tv-show-continental-ian-mcshane-2/
Wife and I both greatly enjoyed the first two, and we're looking forward to JW3. Somehow, I feel that they should stop at three movies, though.
I got to watching a movie that reminded me of the John Wick genre. Has anyone seen Punisher: War Zone. It's a 2008 Punisher movie and had some cheesy acting, but the violence was simply Wicktastic! NSFW:Violence Spoiler
john should go out with a bang here. have him steal some jewerly from the baddest baddy and then snap him for the fatality. then john gets to lay back and permarest and all the mafia families get to go to his funeral.
Man, just found out there is a pretty good quality release of this movie on the interwebz right now. So tempted to watch it, but alas will wait until sunday to watch in theaters.
Saw a triple feature last night at the Alamo Draft House in Katy, all three John Wick movies. Yes, you heard that right. And all I can say is, Parabellum does not disappoint. I won't get into any spoilers, I'll just say, if you think you have seen bloody action so far.. umm, no you haven't. And (very mild spoiler) Spoiler I am certain there will be yet more John Wick movies, this story is far from done. Once people have had a chance to see it, I will be happy to discuss it in more detail.
