They’ve held off on prying this piñata open long enough.

Not dumb v evacuating with a dragon about and a few from the battalion of walker cavalry to get them, maybe even as hostages.

I’m going to make a guess.

The battle will go down similar to Helms Deep in LOTR TTT. Glorious and valiant early successes with ultimate push back. Retreat to the Crypts, and when everyone is safe under, Dany lays waste to Winterfel with the dragons...they have to burn all the newly dead anyhow, and there are few survivors left standing on both sides. And the episode ends with the few coming out of the crypt to a barren wasteland and no more castle. Maybe some of Dany’s Army escapes Dunkirk-style to reform later.

hehe...just thought of that, and I’m sticking to it.

Maybe they could get the White Walkers to pay for it?

Maybe Lord of the Light Rings can resurrect Boromir and get that plan rolling.

You're crazy. At the speed the Night King has moved in this series we'd need another 15 seasons for him to march to King's Landing lol.

It’s not surprising in any way.

It’s very “tidying up” approach imo. It’s how I might have written an ending.

I mean it can all still make sense. The directors / producers have said many times there will be lots of shock this season. So the first three episodes might just be the “obvious” - everyone gets together, there’s a battle, some people die... the final 3 might then be complete shock and awe.

Who knows... it’s just very predictable so far.

Example: Jaime Lannister, he of 1 hand, who killed Danerys dad, pushed Bran out the window, worked to destroy the Starks, and by the way just came from King’s Lansing where Cersei again is being abitch, etc... shows up, is punished in absolutely no way, and even more joins discussions on strategizing?? That’s just we love this character and can’t kill him right yet.

Example: Similar with Theon. He just shows up randomly after a **** ton of time and not only joins strategizing but is the guy to protect Bran??

This makes no sense other than let’s get them all in a room in time for a battle scene.

Not crazy. Cersei hiding in the South seems too convenient.

Keeping it real, wouldn't the producers shock us, as they say, by writing a script without plot holes you could fly a dragon through?

Sure, Jaime's like, "If the Night King knows that his death would mean sayonara undead army, then he won't expose himself to attack." "Hey, we have two dragons." At which point someone doesn't say, "Dips***, he has the third. Which means we might have to sacrifice a second to kill the third."

Still, it was a decent episode. They should have had more such scenes along the way. One can say they don't show dragons blow-torching an army, or argue the plot isn't advanced, but sometimes small character moments push the story forward better than Littlefinger getting his machinations about on Westerosi Airlines.

Take those two dragons out and burn the Night King like he's Sam's dad. Game over.

Why hasn't anyone been nice enough to give those dragons some armor by now?
