The rockets are the visitors tonight and the more powerful family (team) which would make them the Starks. Lets hope it's not a re-enacted red wedding as that didn't go well for the starks
Fascinated to see how they stick the landing here, and hopefully follow GRRM’s formula for story telling. Literally every story GRRM has written ends with the same beats. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that he is an old school Vietnam objector and obsessed with the Grateful Dead. Take from that what you will. Ohh... and hive mind consciousness, but we’ve already seen that play out a bit with the Bran stuff. I think the whole finale with subvert expectations for those expecting a Lord of the Rings style battle to save Middle Earth from the dark lord Sauron. That is unless the show runners can’t pull it off and opt for the LOTR ending. Pretty damn excited to see if they can pull it off. Ps: can we please get one more wedding scene? My fav episodes are wedding ones with the banter back and forth with characters pinging off each other. Love it. Best part of the show is just characters talking to each other about whatever is going on between them and letting their characters breath. That’s what makes the show great. Not Ice Spiders and Ice Dragons.
Going to be on the road Sunday, so I set up HBO Now, just in case I don't make it home in time. I'M READY!!!!
I wonder if anyone is going to be the "Snape kills Dumbledore" ******* at game 1 for all those dvring the show.
The who is in games of thrones vs. who is the nba was interesting. I always like watching someone who hasn't watched game of thrones try to understand it.
Re-watching season 7 to prep for Sunday, and damn, it's not that good. Basically, it's only good if you're already invested in it (as I am). If I were to sit someone down who was new to the show and let them watch a random season 7 episode to see how great it is, they would be underwhelmed. Only 7 episodes and not enough happening.
based on what's being put out there, the earlier seasons are more important as far as referencing the origins/relationships/conflicts when it comes to the final season. http://www.kfm.co.za/articles/2019/...-these-21-episodes-to-rewatch-before-season-8
Why they dun let Neddy Stark live at least 2 seasons more is beyond me. Could have started to deviate from the books earlier. In retrospect. I think that actor was killed earlier in LOTR as well. Iconic without acting much........
This is what I’m doing, no question. I’ve waited a helluva lot longer for a Rockets title run than I have the last GoT season.
Watch game from 8:40-9:00. Pause game and turn off phone Watch GOT. Watch rest of game without checking phone
I rewatched ep7, 6, 4 in reverse order this weekend. Might do ep5, too. Man, I forgot how awesome that silence was in Ep7 when Tyrion poured himself some wine after Cersei didn't kill him, then poured one for Cersei, and another for himself. timestamped at him taunting her to do it. Whole scene is awesomeness, though. That conversation during the trekking scene in ep6 was Epic-ly fun ... "Quit your Whinging." you got to see the Red Witch's t***. other minor facts I forgot: 1) Arya has a Valyrian Steel Dagger, now!, 2) Beric is on his last life (since Thoros died)
