Little news on the new Arena front. City Council approved item authorizing City to negotiate work to re-align Red River. City pays for it but gets credit toward future financial deal with UT. The work would change the alignment from 12th to 15th to reunite Red River at 15th St which was disconnected during the Med School construction. RR would then shift to the left after MLK and align with Robert Dedman Dr. So good news is that RR would be continuous again without a need to turn on 15th. Bad news is it (presumedly) would be a 2 lane road through campus.
@Brando2101 The UH guy here doesn't understand that UH coaches leave for greener pastures. It's not like another fanbase is taking them. Everybody wants Coach K Are the Duke fans worried Texas will take him away?
What I understand is that UT would love to poach sampson as they did Herman. It’s what you do. You had to address your terrible football hire with Herman and now you will be looking to poach Sampson as well because Shaka was a mistake. Our track team is pretty good too, you might want to look there too.
Typical Shaka-era loss last night. When the game got tight at the end against a good opponent, the Horns had no offensive plan to lean on.
I hate to break the news to you People aren’t loyal to UH as a job It’s the old saying if you get a better job you leave
I hate to break it to you but UH is a better basketball job. The only reason sampson would go there was salary. Tilman will match anything texas throws out there. Texas just throws money at stuff.
You have some weird insecurity that everyone is out to pluck your coaches People at Texas or A&M or any big university don't really think about UH I think about UH as much as I think about Rice, which is never This is why you are trolling Texas threads
Yeah, considering Tennessee is ranked #1 and has all of 1 loss this year (to Kansas, by 6, in NYC), I'm pretty sure @Major knows that. He didn't recruit Admiral Schofield, who I absolutely love as a player: tough, energetic, shoots the 3 well, attacks the boards and the rim, switches on D like a madman outside and inside, just a fun guy to watch play (no idea how he grades out as a NBA prospect, but I want the Rockets to look at him); but he did recruit Grant Williams. I thought it was time for a change, and that Barnes has stagnated a bit, kind of like Mack, but Steve Patterson is by far the worst hire that the UT system has ever made.
Will Baker broke a finger on his shooting hand and missed Westlake's first playoff game, they're still not sure when/if he can come back. Now I've turned my attention to Greg Brown III at Vandergrift, he's a freakish athlete but alas is not a guard and not a great shooter from outside yet. He and Baker would wreck **** at the 4/5 though.
In other great news, Kerwin Roach got himself suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Way to go!
