The part I found most convincing was the idea that we would leave an individual being blackmailed by Russia in the Presidency. Seems like more urgency would be involved.

I don't think the investigation is solely to see if Trump is being blackmailed. One of the main focuses is if he conspired with the Russians. That could have happened without the blackmail.

I think it's best to not presume we know about the outcome until the report is released.

I will say if the report shows there was no conspiracy that is a win for Trump haters and supporters alike. That would mean Trump is only a complete idiot and not actively conspiring with our nation's adversary. I think most people want our president to not be conspiring with an adversary of the United States.

The article from the Federalist makes a bunch of assumptions that aren't ever really validated. It quotes one article that said Trump Haters may be disappointed and then talks about the media backing off of the Russian angle as a reason to believe the report won't have anything about the criminal conspiracy with Russia.

    1. The media doesn't have some inside knowledge as to what is in Mueller's report. Mueller's team has had remarkably few leaks the entire time. So the media not covering a part of the story doesn't really indicate anything about what is in the report.

    2. The media has reported when there have been indictments, arrests, witnesses statements etc. They weren't reporting anything from Mueller.

    3. The article then continues down the line making more assumptions all based on speculation.

    4. Trump may be being blackmailed and left in because the checks and balances can stop certain things from happening, or perhaps the legal procedure prevents anything from happening sooner, or perhaps because they don't want to expose that the blackmail has been uncovered until they clean out all the actors involved and wouldn't want to spook them away.

There is so much supposition that it is pointless to place hopes or firmly buy into any of the scenarios coming out right now. It's fine to speculate and guess but that is all any of it is.

Really? If accurate? It starts with a Seinfeld reference (bonus points for that) and then marches through some of the same talking points we've been hearing for a while.

This is in no way a "hoax" (sic). The term "sic" should be appended every time one of the denialists types it.
Just from what is public, the results have been astounding. Perhaps (as I actually expect), Trump himself will largely be cleared of direct Russian collaboration. But we already have a clear trail just from what is already public that Russians have been charged with hacking documents from Trump political opponents, feeding those to Wikileaks, which then had active communication with the Trump campaign (!) and released the hacked data at opportune moments. Um, wow. That's actually more than I ever expected to come to light, especially before the main results of the investigation are even released.

The number of indictments and guilty pleas, from both Russians and Americans, is astounding. We take it for granted now, but just imagine if you'd had the list of Trump campaign officials and Russian entities on the day Mueller was appointed. Seriously.

The only gaslighting, to be really clear and blunt, is in articles like that one from The Federalist. "There is no collusion, there is nothing to see here, all process crimes, anyone would be indicted on felony charges if investigated, even you. Breathe deeply. Exhale... Gooood. Nothing to see here. Nothingburger."

Have mercy. Let's wait until the investigation is at least complete before letting the President's willful enablers to wave their hands at it.

So... she pled guilty b/c... waterboarding?

Only Russian arrested, btw, does not mean only Russian charged. Not by a long shot. But they know that, playing semantics and spin versus the truth.

But we see you working, ducking, and weaving, NRA. Trust this: the money trail, it will be followed.

Did they get information about Russian inter fence out of her or not? Did they just frame her and she is all innocent?

they framed her and she is innocent

she was trying to improve US-Russia relations, was getting paid zero money by anyone to do so and wasn't taking direction from Russia, and they accused her of being an unregistered foreign agent working on behalf of Russia (also smeared her with press leaks as a Red Sparrow w****), deserving of solitary confinement and then prison.

this is how they do to get you to plea
