I think the court case that went all the way up to the Supreme Court in the Mueller probe is key here. In all of the potential money laundering operations that involve Americans, American businesses, and bad foreign actors in Russia, Saudi, etc. this case could be the lynch pin in a waterfall of criminality becoming exposed.

Not saying that Kushner is a money laundered... (well he probably is), but the case is likely key in other banks such as Deutche handing over information to prosecutors to avoid the pain that bank in that case is going through.

Actually that bank in question might be Deutche bank, but my guess is it is VTB. Still... other banks are going to be put on notice.

 

The problem is the GOP can't completely turn as many of them took Russian money from the NRA, McConnel, Grahem, Cruz etc.....so they will go down protecting him to their last breath.

Susan didn’t read the article. Kushner wasn’t granted SCI access by the CIA, only Top Secret clearance by the White House OPM. CIA denied his access to SCI material (although, the president can give access to him as it’s his choice).

This isn’t a scandal in how this administration hands out clearances, it’s a scandal in how the person in charge of granting clearances is an appointee if the president. All presidents have had someone or someones that have been denied clearances by investigators and overruled by the OPM. That position should probably be approved by Congress to avoid situations such as this.

... and who would have thought that the son-in-law and daughter of the president of the united states was approved for clearances by an appointee of the president despite expressed concerns by security officials would not be the big news of the day? For any other president it would be a big scandal. For trump, its Friday.
