The schedule has been out for months... they start in Tampa, which is pretty dumb to have two dome teams playing each other when weather will be an issue for half the games out there.
Spring training in Florida sounds like heaven, hell I'd even take Arizona. It's definitely on my bucket list, take 2 weeks and just go watch baseball everyday in mild, sunny weather.
MLB, in their annual infinite wisdom, has done some stupid **** with the early schedules for everybody. Everybody has to deal with it.
And, Tampa just announced they are closing off the upper deck so they will only have 25,000 seats this sessio.
Still too many. It’s a beautiful area (St. Pete), and Tampa has enough people and businesses to support a team... they just screwed up the stadium location.
We went last year and saw the Astros play the Marlins and the Nationals play the Mets. There is nothing like watching a baseball game surrounded by old, retired Mets fans. They were more entertaining than the game. Already have tickets for this year, same teams.
Martin and Whitley will both be in big league camp, they've named another one publicly but I can't remember who.
