I really wonder if there might be a chance we can use the contracts of Gordon and Knight next summer to sign & trade for Durant if he's going to leave the Warriors, they might be willing to do it to to take back one good piece like Gordon...of course i expect Durant to sign with the Lakers but well, just wondering...

The fact that they called us makes me wonder. Sounds like they definitely don't want him any longer.

I know you’re not expecting it to happen, but even if it was a realistic thought I can’t imagine they would do it. I know your thought process would be “it’s better than losing him for nothing”. But you have to assume Golden State would pass on EG to not see him with us and they know it’s impossible for him to end up here if they don’t sign and trade him.

Yep, even though i wonder if the Warriors would prefer to see Durant in Houston while getting Gordon for themselves, or to see Durant in LA with Lebron and possibly Davis without getting anything back...

Wow. That’s an excellent point. That would be the one and only thing that would make them consider it, if he made it clear it was LA or Houston. Even then Warriors would still make Morey cough up FOUR FIRST ROUND PICKS!

Also just imagine Durant and Davis to the Lakers with Lebron, the media would basically forget the Warriors exist lol

Yeah I mean that’s definitely LA’s plan. Makes sense that they never even considered a move for George or Kawhi; all their assets for Davis and then sign a dude in free agency. And KD is definitely top of that list

Possibly another team lowballed them on Hayward and once against the Rockets are leverage. Being aggressive all the time makes us beleavable targets to be used

Hayward is more like Ryan Anderson than Carmelo. Tell me the reasons Tilman want Hayward.

There is no space in Tilman's wallet for Hayward.

    Hayward is off minutes restriction

Celtics are clearly showcasing him now.

Lakers have 42 million cap room next summer. They can sign Durant.
Lakers have 21 million cap room in 2020 if they get rid of Ingram. Ingram is a free agent in 2020 (has cap hold)
They have to get rid of Ingram to sign Davis and Davis has to take $100 million pay cut in new contract.

Get rid of all rookie contracts first including Kuzma.

    LeBron + Durant + Ball = 90 million in 2020.

What is the reason Davis will take $100 million pay cut for his new contract?

Practically speaking, in order to make a viable in-season trade, it would pretty much have to include Eric Gordon and Brandon Knight.

CORRECTION: You could replace Gordon with Tucker and Nene/Chriss, but I don’t see the Rockets dealing Tucker this season.

Kyrie Flatearther is holding the young guys back again. Horford is also having a down year.

Huge red flag if a team is trying to give him away.

Celtics are a smart organization too, so that's a bigger red flag, and it means the asking price will probably cost too much.
