I disagree but respect your opinion. I think OG’s trade value is higher than what he’ll actually become. I don’t see all star in his future. I also think a Finals trip or the idea of a championship would be absolutely insane for the city of Toronto, countering the uncertainty.
Makes me wonder if DM is average and is bringin average players (whole offseason is filled with low reputance players) and then MDA bails him out. Cp wanted here and forced the trade. Every other blockbuster trade fails
Well, Biyombo was traded for Mosgov....lulz Before that, Mosgov was attached to D'Angelo Russell in a trade...but really it was Mosgov (and a piece of Russell) for bad contract Lopez and rest of Russell for Kuzma's pick. Month later, he was traded for the bad contract known as Dwight Howard...then a few weeks later, the Mosgov for Biyombo trade. So, based on that, we probably could have traded Ryno for Mosgov, Biyombo or Dwight....
I'm like you. I kept expecting someone like Toronto or Miami or anyone to come in here and blow us away and that is just not what happened. I am still highly skeptical we win but I have heard of none of the offers that beat us as being offered. Personally, I think Thibs has saved us. Without his idiocy in this, the sensible teams would beat us out but their disdain for dealing with Thibs has left us this opening and we are going around Thibs to the owner. In every way I thought we had no chance in this but I did not account for intraorganizational chaos to play this big a factor as described by Woj and Marks. This is a lot like the John Elway trade.
Stop checking. Tune ALL internet and media out. Check back in for the first game of the season, turning the game on while they announce the starting lineup. Witness 4 2018 allstars taking the floor along with roleplayer extraordinaire PJ Tucker. Much more fun this way.
Same thing happened with Kawhi. Pretty sure Spurs were gauging Philly and Boston offers then Toronto swoop in, things heat up quickly and they get it done. I don’t think the disdain is as stated or affecting teams offering what they feel is right and enough. Yes Minnesota is dysfunctional. But if Taylor was going to accept an EG trade without Thibs’ consent he would have done it. And Thibs would be fired anyway which hasn’t happened.
He is not who you think should be the real target. Please stop talking like you know who the Rockets' real target is. You are just a fan with opinions, which is fine.
I'll save you the reading trouble, Holic. He's basically just saying that you were talking out of your a$$ when you dumped on @cyberx so you could knobslob yourself via one of your proxies.
He has been on this site for almost 20 years. If you correlate the number of posts you have currently for the same amount of time it would end up being about 40,000 posts. So I would probably stop posting right now if I were you, and you know, go live that life.
