Can someone explain to me how TEN beat JAX by 3, and how the final score was 9-6? The Jags beat NE and then turn right around, to lose to a less-than-100% Mariota. Texans and Colts also lost today. AFC South is trash.
Because the Tennessee's defense is a lot better than people think. Bortles had no time to do nothing. Plus, the titans own the jags soul.
Jags probably overlooked the lowly Titans, any team can lose to any team (except the Texans) if they don't take them seriously.
"Here come those Cowboys. Their run starts now!" - Skip after week two's win over the crappy Giants Nope, still the pathetic team you saw week one vs. Carolina.
Nicely veiled diss of the Texans. Cowboys may have had one of the best offensive lines in football a few seasons back. I just don't know exactly where they went? I guess losing Frederick has really made a huge difference. But, even last season they were regressing. I guess it only takes one or two new faces to throw it completely out of whack. Losing Doug Free and that one back-up (can't remember his name) really screwed it up as well. Offensive lines are delicate; you definitely don't want to "offend them".
Well, Coach Clap is what makes the Cowboys so inconsistent. Clap on...clap off! The players can't keep up with whether they are on or off.
Get rid of Clap and Linehan. I love Marinelli. The offense looks like a dumpster fire and that wont change until Dak can actually make defenses pay for trying to stack the box.
It's a culmination of Dak being an inaccurate passer, the offensive line losing the line of scrimmage, the receiver corp being mediocre, and the overall offensive game plan being run-first and not really geared toward stretching the field with the longer passing game. Dak's short passing game scares nobody and is never going to be a reason to make defenses pay for stacking the box. The only real solution to this problem is better protection from the offensive line so Dak can have time to make his short-to-medium range passes AND the o-line opening holes for Deke to run through. I just don't see how this offense is going to work out given it's limitations. Dak can't air it out like Romo could. He's not even close to being a competent passer downfield.
